How to play
Each participant sets up their playing figures on opposing sides of the game board. This board is composed of 64 cells arranged in a grid of eight rows and eight columns. The movement of each piece follows specific patterns: * The king can move one square in any direction. * The queen can move any number of squares horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. * Castles can move any amount of spaces horizontally or vertically. * Bishops can move any distance diagonally. * Knights move in an "L" shape, two squares in one direction and one square perpendicular to that. * Pawns move forward one square but capture diagonally. Special moves include castling, which involves moving the king and one castle simultaneously, and en passant, a pawn capture option. Players alternate turns moving one piece at a time. The aim is to capture the opponent's pieces while protecting one's own. The game ends when one player checkmates the opponent's king, resulting in victory.
