About game
Antichess, or Losing Chess, is an exciting and unusual version of the traditional game that redefines conventional strategy!
In this game, you don't need to protect your king or control the center. Instead, your goal is to make your opponent capture all your pieces.
It requires a new way of thinking and planning moves that might seem like a trap for your own forces. Antichess is a great mental exercise and an opportunity to view the chessboard in a whole new light. It's perfect for both casual players looking for entertainment and chess experts eager to challenge their analytical abilities in an unfamiliar setting. Who will lose faster?
How to play
In Antichess, the rules are quite different from traditional chess:
The key objective is to lose all your pieces or reach a situation where you cannot make a legal move.
You must capture an opponent's piece if possible. If several captures are available, you can choose any of them.
The king does not have a special status; there's no check or checkmate, and the king can be captured like any other piece.
Pawns can be promoted to a king when they reach the opposite edge of the board, in addition to the standard options of queen, rook, bishop, or knight.
Castling is not permitted in this version.
Whoever first loses all their pieces or runs out of legal moves wins the game.
