About game
ULTIMATE Tic-Tac-Toe ONLINE is an innovative twist on the traditional game of noughts and crosses. The playing field consists of nine smaller 3x3 squares, forming a single large 9x9 board. Each move you make determines where your opponent will have to play next. A single mistake can give your opponent an advantage, while a well-thought-out strategy can lead to victory.
Game features:
- Three game modes: ranked (ELO), casual, and local hot-seat;
- Intelligent bots at three levels of difficulty: Easy, Medium, and Hard;
- Reliable peer-to-peer synchronization to prevent desynchronization;
- A 45-second turn timer with support for reconnecting and automatic skipping;
- Personal ELO rating, leaderboards, and bonus win multipliers;
- Simple visuals and custom soundtrack.
How to play
The game field is a 9x9 grid, divided into nine smaller 3x3 boards. You need to win three adjacent small boards — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — to claim victory.
Here's the catch: your move determines where your opponent plays next. If you mark a cell in the bottom-left corner of a small board, your opponent must play on the bottom-left small board. If that board is already decided or full, your opponent can choose any available board.
Rules:
- Players take turns placing X and O marks, with X going first.
- Win a small board by getting three in a row to claim it.
- Secure three claimed boards in a row to win the game.
- Each turn is limited to 45 seconds; if you run out of time, you skip your turn. Skip twice in a row and you lose.
- In ranked mode, wins increase your ELO rating, while losses decrease it.
Plan your moves carefully — each one can be either a strategic advantage or a trap for your opponent.
